Jurassic Punks: 2022 Review

Hi Tribe Called Rex,
As we enter the New Year, we wanted to thank our community, who have been with us while we complete our roadmap. We also want to say a warm welcome and thanks to our new MODs and CM team, who have quickly become an asset within our Discord.
Here is a list of highlights from the past year to remind everyone of the progress that has been made along the way. It’s been a journey!
Mint
Jurassic punks Minted on the 23rd of March 2022. In a turning market where sentiment was already bearish, the JPunks team reduced their mint price from 0.2ETH to 0.1ETH after consulting the community and assessing the market. This move allowed the team to secure the funds to enable us to achieve our roadmap goals, and the mint sold out in 4 hours!
Partnerships
Jurassic Punks made some great partnerships in 2022, not only providing whitelist opportunities for the community but securing partnerships with My Pet Hooligan, Collide Craftworks, and Netvrk, to name a few.
NETVRK
One of the standout partnerships of the year was our relationship with Netvrk, who are leading the way in the Metaverse race. One of our crucial roadmap goals was to make sure that our Avatars could slot into any compatible Metaverse or Game, and with Netvrk, we have achieved exactly this.
With the Netvrk Mine runner BETA launch imminent, our community will be able to play with a choice of 2 previously selected JPunks as their Avatar within the game. This is amazing, but it is only the beginning. Netvrk plans to roll out the whole collection in 2023, and you will be able to play mine runner and their hotly anticipated battle Royal game as your own JPunk!
This was our major roadmap goal and is a massive achievement by the team. When you purchased your JPunk, you didn’t just get a PFP; you now also have an Avatar that can integrate into any compatible game or Metaverse in the future.
Model Castings
Another roadmap goal and promise to our community were for JPunk owners to have the chance to have their own JPunks submitted into castings for various events.
We executed multiple castings in 2022, and the response and level of the entries bowled over Tribe Model Management. This not only gave the community a chance to showcase their JPunks but also allowed community members to win fantastic prizes in return for using that particular JPunk IP.
Digital Fashion Shows
One such casting that we are keen to highlight is Brandverse.
Brandverse was one of the first physical/ digital brands out of the Web3 space in 2022 with an A-Class team.
The JPunks team worked closely with Brandverse to create a stunning Digital Fashion show, highlighting Brandverse’s Z3NA watch collection and proving interoperability between digital fashion and the JPunks brand.
Merch Drop
Another roadmap goal achieved and delivered in 2022 was the JPunks Merch Sale. We launched our merch drop in June 2022. The team wanted to provide superior garments in our community and looked at multiple options here.
We decided to work with “Top Drawer Merch” for the drop as they had a proven track record in producing quality garments and work with some of the top web3 brands around today, including BAYC, My Pet Hooligan & World of Women.
Lore Mini-Series
Our Lore film released towards the end of 2022. The team undertook this massive undertaking as the production level had to be at the highest standard possible to stand out from the crowd.
The JPunks team is super proud of this film, and we hope you like it as much as we do.

FBX files
Our promise to release your JPunks FBX files is being realized as we speak. Some of the community have already received theirs, and we can’t wait to see the content you will make now you have your FBX files in hand! More will be released in 2023 via the JPunks App (working title).
JPunks App
The JPunks App (Working title) is now ready for its long-awaited Beta launch. We are beyond excited to share this news. We have created a new channel for a few lucky Rexs in our Discord. Within this channel is a link to download the PC version of the app. There is also a link to a feedback form where we would like our beta testers to report any bugs they may find in the app.
We will be selecting community members to help us with the Beta testing and adding those chosen to the new channel. We will be adding people to the channel in the lead-up to Christmas, so if the team has selected you, your time will come. We have chosen who we feel are our most active community members and who have continually supported us throughout this journey.
Raptors
The Raptors collection is nearing completion and will be launched in early 2023. There has been a lot of work put into this collection, and we can’t wait to share them with our community when we release them into the wild!
